U.S. Road To Recovery History
|
Richard D. Smith, founder & CEO of SMITH-TRG a business performance improvement and value creation consulting firm, started The U.S. Road to Recovery Project initiative in February 2008. The Projects objective was to find ways for the American enterprise system to create 2 million net new U.S. jobs for citizens in 12 months.
By June 2008, Richard was communicating nation-wide with a broad range of industry experts, C-level executives, business owners and stakeholders. He would share his perspective on growth opportunities and solicit theirs. In several instances he provided pro-bono performance improvement advice. By August 2008, Richard had developed and published various presentations on the nation's evolving economic growth situation.
In September 2008, Richard did the first of a series of interviews on the SunnyIdiot Radio Show (post 08 Wall Street meltdown - defunct). Transcripts of those interviews can be found on subsequent pages of this Web site. During all of 2009 and into 2010 Richard developed, published and delivered numerous presentations, the most popular of which was The U.S. Jobs Creation Plan, primarily to business groups, enterprise leaders and federal and state government officials. His views on America's need to focus on 'Jobs Creation' as a national priority have appeared on BBC, in Forbes, Wall Street Journal, USA TODAY, Business Week and numerous other media outlets.
